Wendy Rothstein is a partner with the
Litigation Department in the Montgomery County office of Fox Rothschild LLP and
has practiced in Montgomery County for more than 29 years. Her diverse
litigation practice includes commercial and business litigation; alternative
dispute resolution including commercial arbitrations and mediation; employment
litigation involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, fiduciary duties,
defending employers targeted by employment discrimination lawsuit and defending
wage and hour lawsuits; and real estate, tax assessment and land use and zoning
litigation.
As co-chair of Fox Rothschild's Tax Appeal Group, Wendy has
represented both taxpayers and school districts throughout the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania in tax assessment litigation matters involving shopping centers,
industrial facilities, office buildings, large residential properties,
landfills, quarries, nuclear power plants, racetracks, casinos, cemeteries,
cellular towers, airports and deed restricted properties.
Widely known and
respected in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, Wendy worked in the
courthouse prior to law school and spent her entire legal career there since
1982.
Wendy also served as chair of the firm's Montgomery County Litigation
Department from 1996 through 2008. Wendy was also appointed by former Senator
Rick Santorum to the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission, where she reviewed
all applicant submissions and interviewed candidates for future vacancies on the
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The commission's
recommendations are ultimately submitted to the President for nomination to the
Court.
Wendy has served as a Court appointed Discovery Master since 2001.
Wendy
earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore in 1982 and her B.S. from
Temple University in 1978, graduating cum laude from both. Wendy currently
serves on the Bar Association Judiciary Committee and has previously served as a
Director and Chair of the Speakers Bureau. This past year she has coordinated
the development of the curriculum for the civics in the classroom
program. |
