Cary L. Flitter, Esq. Presents $69K Cy Pres Award to LASP

Norristown, PA - On Wednesday, August 3, MBA member Cary L. Flitter, Esq., of Flitter Milz, PC in Narberth, presented Legal Aid of Southeastern PA with a Cy Pres check in the amount of $69,068.46.  This year alone, Mr. Flitter has procured over $100,000 in cy pres funds for Legal Aid.

Diversity Committee Hosts a Day in Court

The MBA's Diversity Committee recently held its 5th Annual Day in Court Program at the Montgomery County Court House.  Over 60 students from Norristown Area High School visited the courthouse to observe live court proceedings.  Judges, members of the bar, and local dignitaries then discussed our legal system and shared their personal success stories.  Students then enjoyed lunch at One Montgomery Plaza, where they were joined by County Commissioners Dr. Valerie Arkoosh and Joseph C. Local Legal Community Comes Together to Celebrate Law Day

Norristown, PA - On Friday, April 29, 2016, the MBA hosted its annual Law Day celebration, joining a nationwide effort to celebrate the role of law in our society and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession. Judges and Lawyers Dedicate Their Time and Talent to Teach Civics at Norristown Middle Schools

Norristown, PA - For the past five school years, lawyers and judges throughout Montgomery County have been teaming up to bring civics education to Norristown area middle schools.  The Montgomery Bar Association’s (MBA) volunteer-based Liberty & Law program was designed to help area youth understand the justice system, appreciate the constitution and understand the rights and laws that affect their daily lives.
