Honors Attorneys, Community and Law Enforcement Leaders

Norristown, PA: -- On Friday, January 8, 2010, the Montgomery Bar Association (MBA) held its Annual Business Luncheon Meeting at the Meadowlands Country Club in Blue Bell, PA. Nearly 300 local dignitaries, legal professionals and law enforcement members attended the event which included the installation of a new president (ceremonial passing of the gavel), election of the MBA’s officers for the 2010 term and an awards presentation to honor area attorneys and local law enforcement and community leaders. |
Steven H. Lupin, Esq., Managing Partner from the law firm of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell and Lupin in Lansdale, PA was installed as President. No stranger to holding executive positions with legal organizations, Lupin previously served as President of the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Association and President of the Montgomery Inn of Court. In ascending to this position, during his term in office, Mr.Lupin has stated that he would like to focus on the bar association's many ways to assist the working attorney. Married and a father of two, Mr. Lupin received his J.D. from the Temple University School of Law in 1973.
For the 2010 Bar Year, The Honorable Carolyn T. Carluccio will serve as President-Elect, Donald J. Martin, Esq. will serve as Vice President, Paul C. Troy, Esq. will serve as Treasurer and Michael F. Rogers, Esq. will serve as Secretary.
Also of Note: Joseph P. Walsh, Esq., a partner in the law firm of Walsh Pancio, LLC in Lansdale was named President of the MBA’s Trial Lawyers Section. Patrick J. Kurtas, Esq., a partner in the law firm of Prince and Kurtas in Pottstown was named President of the MBA’s Young Lawyers Section. Michael Kleiman, Esq., a founding member in the law firm of Bleczinski, Kleiman & Klein, LLC in King of Prussia was named Chairman of the MBA’s Family Law Section. Joseph P. McDonald, Esq., a member in the law firm of Smith, Aker, Grossman and Hollinger, LLP in Norristown was named Chairman of the MBA’s Probate and Tax Section.

Montgomery Bar Foundation President, Robert F. Morris, Esq. (left) presents The Honorable Milton O. Moss Public Service Award to Richard A. Simon of the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office. Since the beginning of the Bar Foundation in 1987, the organization has honored Judge Moss by presenting the award to a Montgomery County resident who has provided exceptional service in support of the justice system. |
