Norristown, PA - September 17, 2004. - Do you know what your rights and obligations are under the law? You may not be a lawyer, but you still need to know the law. If you pay bills, own property, have a family, work in a business or buy or sell anything you should understand the law behind what you are doing. You can learn about the law and get the basics on various legal topics that affect your life everyday at the People's Law School. The People's Law School is a series of 10 classes for non-lawyers taught by attorneys from the Montgomery Bar Association. The classes will begin on October 4, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. and takes place each Monday through December 6, 2004 at the Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell.
Sponsored by the Montgomery Bar Association's Young Lawyer's Section, the 10-week series of classes will include topics such as consumer law, real estate, business, contracts, bankruptcy, criminal law, family law, estates and wills, auto law and a class on finding the right lawyer.
Classes will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and last approximately two hours. All the classes will be held at the Montgomery County Community College's Science Center in Room 214.
The course materials fee will be $60.
