|Michelle C. Berk, co-authors and edits the Montgomery County Elder Law Handbook since its inception in 2001. She is also editor and co-author of the Guide to Legal Issues for Pennsylvania Senior Citizens. Her practice includes Elder Law, Orphans' Court, Family Law, Estate Planning and Administration, Social Security Disability, and Real Estate. She received her law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1981 and her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University. She is vice-Chair of the Montgomery County Elder Law Committee. She is an active member of the Speaker's Bureau, Probate and Tax and Family Law Sections of the Bar Association and a member of the Inns of Court. She continues to be an author of the Montgomery County Civil Practice Manual and for the Sidebar. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and Pennsylvania Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a frequent presenter and provider of continuing education to senior and elder care organizations and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Montgomery Bar Association, Alzheimer's Association, Elder Law Mediation, geriatric social workers and nursing home administrators. She is on the Boards of Directors of Eastern Regional Collaborative Network of the Montgomery County Health and Human Services Agency; Coalition of Services for the Aging, the Montgomery Elder Mediation Board, Alzheimer?s Association Champion; Ambassador-Komen for the Cure; Board of Directors of Temple Sinai, Bnai Zion Foundation and PhyllyIsrael; Upper Dublin Township Committee Person; Elder Justice Roundtable; Aging and Adult Services Advisory Council and Visiting Nurse Association Advisory Council. She runs half marathons and participates in distance bike rides for charities in her free time.
