Michael Moyer is an associate in the Tax Department of Herrick, Feinstein LLP, a New York City based firm with offices in New Jersey, Washington, DC, and Istanbul, Turkey. His practice focuses on estate planning and administration, trust formation and tax planning. Michael handles the full-breadth of issues arising from the planning of complex wills, trusts and estates for high-net worth individuals, families and business owners. He has significant experience creating and implementing estate plans designed to efficiently plan for the Federal Estate and Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax, Gift Tax, Federal Income Tax and state estate and inheritance taxes. He also has experience planning with irrevocable trusts, grantor trusts, decanting and charitable planning, to achieve client's tax planning and dispositive objectives. He counsels fiduciaries on tax compliance and distribution matters, as well as various federal and state tax returns and accountings. His experience includes the representation of fiduciaries and interested parties in matters involving estate administration claims and disputes. He ensures client estate, trust and tax concerns are thoroughly addressed by bringing financial planners, accountants, as well as insurance professionals on board for a coordinated approach to estate planning.

Drawing on his experience in counseling closely held businesses on legal and planning concerns, Michael provides clients with counsel regarding tax issues relating to business entities, including individual income, corporate and partnership tax. He has assisted clients on a wide-range of general corporate matters as well as tax related issues, including tax planning and business succession planning.

Michael's Montgomery County community involvement includes work for Wills for Heroes and the Montgomery Child Advocate Program. Michael sits on the Board of Governors of the Duquesne University Law Alumni Association for the 2011-2014 Term.
