|Harris has developed a national reputation and franchise practice representing franchisees, franchisors and distributors along with his corporate and general business, retail development and real estate/leasing practices. His franchise clients include franchisors, multi-unit franchise owners, area developers, master franchisees, distributors and businesses desiring to expand through franchising (drafting franchise disclosure documents and applicable compliance matters on the federal and state levels) and distribution systems. Harris also represents businesses of all sizes, including financial service companies, manufacturers and service-oriented companies, along with professionals and individuals in a broad variety of matters with general business and corporate/business matters, real estate, employment, mergers and acquisitions, structuring transactions, document negotiation, day-to-day counseling and dispute resolutions. Harris has received the honor of being selected by the International Who's Who of Franchising (as 1 of only 169 internationally), by Franchise Times as a "Legal Eagle" and "Hotshot Franchise Lawyer", by the Pennsylvania Law Weekly one of "Fifty on the Fast Track", and as a "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics and Philadelphia Magazine. He has also been appointed to the CPR panel of distinguished neutrals Franchise Mediation Panel. Harris served on the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising Governing Committee and is its Finance Officer. He served on the Forum's Publications Committee and was chair of its Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Division. He served as chair of the Montgomery County Franchise Law Committee and was on the International Franchise Association's Legal Symposium Task Force. Harris has also been selected as an arbitrator for various franchise and business disputes. Harris is a frequent speaker on franchise and business related topics.
