At the core of successful nonprofits is a high-performing board of directors. These boards serve the organization's mission and act as stewards of its resources and architects of its strategic direction. Effective boards provide crucial oversight, guidance, and support to advance the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. Key to this success is clarity around the roles and responsibilities of board members, and an understanding of the expectations of board service. Presented by Elizabeth Vibber, MS. Elizabeth has over thirty years’ experience providing strategic consultation to both the public and private sectors. Projects Liz has worked on include the development of business and strategic plans, governance consulting, mergers and collaborations, needs assessments, survey design as well as succession planning and executive searches. During this interactive workshop we will discuss best practices from both the organizational and individual perspectives. Following the CLE will be cocktails and networking and the presentation of the Keystone Pro Bono Awards and the President's Volunteer Service Awards.
