Blue Bell, PA -- On Friday, January 11, 2019, the Montgomery Bar Association (MBA) held its Annual Business Luncheon Meeting at Blue Bell Country Club in Blue Bell, PA. Nearly 300 local dignitaries, legal professionals and community leaders attended the event which included the election of the MBA’s officers for 2019, an awards presentation to honor area attorneys and judges, as well as the installation of its new president, Gregory R. Gifford, Esq., with the ceremonial passing of the gavel.
Gregory R. Gifford, a partner in the law firm of Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford, has been a member of the firm since 1984 and practices personal injury, criminal, and municipal law. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 1984. Mr. Gifford completed his undergraduate degree at Ursinus College, graduating cum laude with Honors, and is a graduate of the Villanova University School of Law. He was voted North Penn’s “Best Lawyer” in The Reporter’s Readers’ Choice Awards in 1993, 1994, 1995, 2008, 2009 , 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, and he was named “One of the Best Lawyers” in 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, and 2014. In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2013, Mr. Gifford was voted Reader’s Choice “Best Lawyer” in the Montgomery News‘ Readers’ Choice Awards.
Mr. Gifford is the Solicitor for the Lansdale, Skippack, and Marlborough Township Zoning Hearing Boards, North Wales Borough, the Pennsylvania Juvenile Officers’ Association, and Franconia, Hatfield, Lansdale, and Towamencin Police Benevolent Associations. He has also served as President of the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Association and is an active member of the Montgomery Bar Association. He serves on the Executive Board of the Philadelphia Area Girls Soccer Association and the Montgomery United Soccer Association and is Chair of the MDT team of Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth. He also serves as Solicitor of the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company.
Since 2004 and each year thereafter, he has been named one of Pennsylvania’s “Super Lawyers” by a poll of his peers as published in Philadelphia Magazine.
Mr. Gifford lives in Upper Gwynedd Township with his wife and three children.
For the 2019 Bar Year, Patrick J. Kurtas, Esq. will serve as President-Elect, Jacqueline M. Reynolds, Esq. will serve as Vice PresidentSarinia M. Feinman, Esq. will serve as Treasurer and Justin A. Bayer, Esq. will serve as Secretary.
Also of Note: Seth D. Wilson, Esq., of Morris Wilson, P.C. in Conshohocken was named President of the MBA’s Trial Lawyers Section, Michael J. Lyon, Esq. of Walsh Pancio, LLC in Lansdale was named Chair of the MBA’s Young Lawyers Section, Marguerite Mary Nocchi, Esq., of Nocchi Law PC in Lansdale was named Chair of the MBA’s Family Law Section, and Obadiah G. English, Esq., of Mannion Prior, LLP in King of Prussia, was named Chair of the MBA’s Probate and Tax Section.
