EPIC is Off to a Great Start - Additional Volunteers Needed!
EPIC

The Eviction Prevention and Intervention Coalition ("EPIC") is a brand new collaboration between the MBA, MBF, the Montgomery County Housing and Community Development Office, and the courts. The 6-month pilot program is designed to provide free, limited representation to tenants facing eviction in Magisterial District Court 38-1-16 (Hon. Margaret Hunsicker, Norristown). EPIC utilizes the services of pro bono attorneys to provide same day, limited representation to tenants facing eviction in order to stabilize vulnerable households in the Norristown community who have historically limited access to legal representation.

To learn more about the early success of this groundbreaking program click here.

The MBA provides pro bono attorneys to participate in the program on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.  As interest in the program has grown, so too has our need for additional volunteers.  Please consider being a part of this worthwhile volunteer opportunity.  No prior landlord/tenant experience necessary.
