Topic: Counsel in the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania will discuss the life of a disciplinary matter, review resources available to the public on the Disciplinary Board's website, and present disciplinary matters of interest. Topics will range from common ethics issues for estate and elder law practitioners to misconduct by such practitioners that resulted in severe sanction, e.g. suspension and disbarment. Trial Counsel will focus on the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, the Pennsylvania Rules of Disciplinary Enforcement, the Disciplinary Board Rules and Procedures, and Pennsylvania jurisprudence; however, the seminar may include reference to Ethics Opinions by the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the ABA Model Rules, and ABA Formal Opinions.
