As restrictions have been lifted, court practice and trial procedures are being updated. The Federal Courts Sections of the Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Bar Associations and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania have again partnered to update practitioners on the current state of court operations in light of the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions and the plans and procedures for conducting civil and criminal jury trials. In this presentation, judges of the district court and clerk of court will provide newly updated information regarding the operations of the court and its practices and procedures and offer guidance and tips regarding court interaction moving forward.

The program will address the following topics:

  • Newly updated Orders and Directives issued by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania
  • Plans for hearings and trials now that COVID restrictions have been lifted
  • Guidance of settlement conferences and mediations
  • Guidance on injunction and emergency relief proceedings
  • Recommendations for dealing with the Clerk's Office

Attendees will also be introduced to and hear from the newest Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania -- The Honorable Scott Reid.
