8:30 am - 12:15 pm
Location: Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, 2 W. Lafayette Street, Norristown, PA 19401
Last spring, in furtherance of our mission to improve, facilitate, and support justice for all in Montgomery County, the Montgomery Bar Foundation sponsored Montgomery County's Second Access to Justice Summit.
Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of partners like you, the success of our two past Summits has far surpassed even our highest expectations, and we continue to seek opportunities to help foster collaboration among those committed to improving access to justice throughout the county.
The topic of reentry was identified as a top priority at both of our previous Summits, and this is the focus of Summit III. It is an important topic for community and nonprofit leaders as it relates to employment, housing, access to ample food, legal assistance, and re-establishing a viable existence. We will begin the day with a moving, participatory simulation that will provide unique insights on the profound challenges encountered by this population, and it will set the stage for the subsequent breakout discussions that promise to be as productive and inspiring as those of our previous Summits. Anticipated attendees once again include representatives from the Bench, Bar leadership, pro bono attorneys, social service providers, county agencies, the faith community, law enforcement, and the business community.
