Our services and mission are unique: while we proudly collaborate with partners across the state and country, we are the only Pennsylvania organization whose sole focus is the legal rights of the elderly. Our Core Values are Excellence, compassion, respect, passion, integrity, creativity and optimism.
SeniorLAW Center is an independent 501(c)(3) legal services agency founded in 1978 to protect the legal rights and interests of Philadelphia's needy, elderly residents through a volunteer-driven program. Nearing our 40th anniversary, we now have an array of programs and services, a diverse staff of lawyers and advocates, and have expanded our outreach and services to communities throughout Pennsylvania. Through the efforts of our dedicated and experienced legal staff and volunteers, SeniorLAW Center today serves approximately 5,000 older (60 and over) Pennsylvanians each year, including victims of elder abuse and financial exploitation, elders facing housing crises and homelessness, grandparents raising grandchildren and older veterans. Through our statewide PA SeniorLAW HelpLine, seniors can receive information, advice and referral on all civil legal issues via telephone. We have recently expanded financial exploitation and elder abuse services to Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester Counties. We also advocate for seniors on critical legal issues locally, statewide and nationally.
