Montgomery Bar Association Announces Release of 2012 Civil Practice Manual
NORRISTOWN, PA – Montgomery Bar Association (MBA) today announces the release of its all new Montgomery County Civil Practice Manual (CPM) for 2012. This fully-indexed and searchable resource is now available for purchase from the Bar Association in both print and interactive electronic versions. The CPM provides a centralized location for the practicing lawyer to access and comply with both Local Rules of Civil Procedure and State Rules of Civil Procedure.
The CPM has been entirely revised and updated for 2012. It includes more than 225 useful forms among 400+ pages of content, including local rules, practice tips and useful commentary on a varity of topics. Topics covered include e-Filing, Family Law, Arbitration, Discovery, Trial Practice, Motions, Judgments, Executions and more.
According to Jane H. Fisher, an attorney from Pennsylvania’s Office of the Attorney General and Chair of the MBA’s Civil Practice Manual Committee, “the CPM provides an overview of the Civil Court System in Montgomery County. Each section of the CPM contains step-by-step information for utilitizing the electronic filing system used by Montgomery County’s Prothonotary. Signifcant changes have occurred both substantively and procedurely to the Family Law Section, the Trial Practice Section and others since the award-winning compilation was last published in 2006. The CPM provides information necessary for practicing attorneys to remain on the cutting edge of practice in both Montgomery County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”
It’s now easier than ever to create effective and professional pleadings. With the electronic version – which comes fully loaded on a USB flash drive (with plenty of extra storage space for your own files) – you can edit and customize forms on your desktop, laptop or tablet using the latest versions of Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word and WordPerfect.
