Member Bio
Ms. Young is a shareholder in the Norristown family law practice group of the firm of Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller. She is Past President of the Montgomery Bar Association and Past President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section. Ms. Young is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and formerly on the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Ms. Young is past Chairperson of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Membership Committee and Chairperson to the Outreach to Children Committee. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates and is on the Board of Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. Ms. Young is Chair of the Montgomery County Bar Association Nominating Committee, Past Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Law Committee, and Young Lawyers Division and is a past member of their Board of Directors. She is a prior member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Council. Ms. Young was a past President and member of the Board of Directors of the Victims Services Center of Montgomery County, a past member of the Montgomery County Multidisciplinary Team and served on the Board of Directors of the Ambler Area YMCA. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Sciences in 1982 from Michigan State University. Thereafter, she attended American University, Washington College of Law, and graduated with her J.D. in 1985. Ms. Young is the author of "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue - and Don't Forget the Prenupt", "Avoiding Malpractice Traps in Divorce Cases", "Ralston Purina Co. v. Encore Frozen Foods, Inc.: Token Use Taken to the Limit?" and "Perception is Everything" and is a frequent speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and other professional organizations.
