Member Bio
Mr. Miller is in private practice in Lansdale, Montgomery County, PA. His practice focuses on the representation of lawyers and law firms in matters before the Disciplinary Board and Lawyers¯ Fund for Client Security, and in other issues of attorney ethics and professional responsibility, as well as client relations, and practice management; and applicants before the Pennsylvania Board of Law examiners. He was Disciplinary Counsel in the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania for over 29 years until 2004 and was Disciplinary Counsel in Charge of the District II office of that organization for 17¯ of those years.
He is a Past President of both the Montgomery Bar Association and the Montgomery Bar Foundation. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Montgomery Bar Association for seven years, a member of the Board of Directors of that association for a three-year term, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Bar Foundation from 1994 to 2006. He also is a Past President and former member of the Executive Committee of the Conference of County Bar Leaders (CCBL) of the Pennsylvania Bar Association ("PBA"). He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation from 2007 to 2013 and is a Life Fellow of that organization. He has been chair of the PBA Membership Development Committee since 2012, has been a member of the PBA House of Delegates since 1994, co-chair of the PBA Committee on Professionalism for 2000-02, vice-chair of the PBA's Government Lawyers' Committee for two years, and vice-chair of the PBA Membership Development Committee for 2004-05 and 2011. He was a member of the board of the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (2005) and also is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (APRL).
He has been a course planner, author and frequent lecturer state-wide for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and for Pennsylvania Bar Association, county bar association and lawyers¯ professional liability insurance company MCLE programs on attorney ethics, professional responsibility, and malpractice avoidance, and has served as an expert witness in attorney malpractice cases.
